Saturday night because Sunday is the weekend

The bar was transformed incredibly well into a Halloween theme last night for the Halloween party. There was a black and white moving playing on the TV in the background, and decor along every wall and across the ceiling. Even decor out the front door, and a rack of costumes to choose from so there was no excuse to arrive without an outfit! I enjoyed talking to the chefs and learning about their previous experiences, how they are liking the time at Scott Base at the moment, and more travel plans for the future.

On Sunday there is brunch at 10am, which would make a late night on Saturday suitable – except that the moon was setting at 5:58am on Sunday morning which is something I am following and recording for my research. Despite actually still not being able to see the moonset due to the mountain ranges in the foreground and significant light projection, I am proud to say I was still up and out at 5am, and straight back to bed after 6!
