Summitting Crater Hill and more pengies!!

Another mob of Emperor penguins spotted on the walk up Crater Hill, they really do stand out amongst the vast endless white

I had some extra time today between high and low tide, so I decided to walk up Crater Hill to eat my lunch and read my kindle, lol!! I was able to sit up there for about 2 hours comfortably tucked away from the wind and could’ve cried tears of joy for the whole entire time. Genuinely speechless for this amount of beauty.

I came back down and went straight out to the pressure ridges to count the seals at low tide, and was treated to more tear-worthy beauty in the form of feathery ice crystals across the meltwater ponds.

Like what the heck, how STUNNING!?!
